It was once thought that Spanish would become the universal language of the U.S. With a rising Hispanic population, it is becoming more common. Our latest linguistic concern, however, should be Chinese. The country is making impressive strides in Latin American security. It’s not a matter of how this will influence America, but when.
CHINA UNDERMINDS U.S MILITARY IN LATIN AMERICA
China has been building their global presence for a while now. Mostly, it has been limited to business. The latest focus has pivoted in Latin America. Specifically towards security. Many Latin American countries are already anti-American. China dabbling in their business has only helped strengthen those beliefs. Their growing military presence in the area isn’t helping either. The U.S certainly had the influence in the west up until now. It was a valuable strategic position. Now with China stepping in, Washington has caused for concern.
ANTI-AMERICAN BACKDOORS WELCOME CHINESE GOVERNMENT
How exactly did the Chinese sneak their way into the American west? Considering the amount of enemies America has, it isn’t too hard to figure out. Sales of Chinese military hardware were popular with Latin American countries that hate the U.S. In monetary terms, Chinese military sales have risen from basically nothing to $100 million in five years. 90% of that was from Venezuela, a country known for its American dislike. Venezuela has gone on to invite Iranian forces over to Latin America. In addition, Russia was given basing rights. Moscow has always wanted a western presence. Now it is being handed to them on a silver platter.
THE END OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE
Not to use a cliche but if you play with fire, you’ll get burned. Or something like that. America has been pissing off the wrong people for too long. China has taken advantage of this. They have the economy and manpower to make certain moves in the world and have not hesitated to do so. China is promptly taking advantage of these American enemies. The U.S no longer has the global respect it used to. It should have been known that those enemies would eventually seek revenge. With the Chinese now in our backyard, it’s only a matter of time before they’re in command. Brush up on your Mandarin.
