FBI to Make Your iPhone Watch You

FBI to Make Your iPhone Watch You Clapway

The FBI not only wants to win their most recent case against Apple, it wants to essentially take over the company. What started out as a request to unlock the killer’s iPhone, may eventually evolve into them wanting to turn on user’s cameras and microphones for espionage purposes.

FBI TRIES TO TURN APPLE INTO SURVEILLANCE TOY

What was previously a court battle of ethics has turned to an all out war of the FBI versus privacy. Their most recent attempt has them demanding Apple to create custom software that will completely bypass security features on iOS. The excuse, of course, was to gain access in the San Bernardino killer’s iPhone, however, Apple has expressed this can lead to a more serious situation. If Apple complied and made this software, all iPhone users would be offering a backdoor for  people to access private information. If that happens, one can assure the FBI will not stop there.

SECURITY OF IPHONE WILL DETERMINE THE FUTURE OF PRIVACY

If the FBI wins their case against Apple, who’s to say the iPhone won’t just become their personal tool to spy on civilians? If they can force Apple to do this, then eventually they will want them to turn an iPhone’s camera and microphone on. Security experts are worried this can very well become a reality if this battle is not won. Having a personal device that can hear and see everything you do is not just something from George Orwell’s 1984. It could very well become a scary reality.

TECHNOLOGY SUPER GROUP FORMS TO DEFEAT GOVERNMENT

Luckily, Apple is not the only one waging war against the FBI. Major league members of the tech industry like Google, Twitter, Facebook and Microsoft are joining in to support their rival. They understand the importance this case has on the future of their businesses. A negative outcome would certainly hurt their sales and influence their software. Not to mention there is that whole moral dilemma that everyone with respect to privacy should be concerned about. The future of privacy very well could rest in this court case. This month, we will find out the verdict as Apple goes to federal court to square off.
