It seems like just yesterday that Destiny was released to the world, and it is amazing to think that it was released way back in 2014. Since that time, gamers across the world have been enjoying Destiny. However, it is these same gamers that might not be aware of these ten things about the game.
1. THE SPARTAN BUILDING
OK, so this one might be well known among the Destiny universe. However, it needs to be mentioned just in case you didn’t know. In the game, on Mars, there is a building that looks very similar to an infamous character. You will know what building I am talking about because if you look at it right, it looks exactly like Master Chief’s helmet.
2. HIDDEN DESTINY LOGO
In the opening cinematic cutscene in Destiny, you can spot a hidden logo of the game. The screen will eventually move to a close-up of a footprint, and if you look close enough you will see the Destiny logo!
3. THE WIZARDS
Let’s be honest here for a second, who actually likes these despicable bastards from Destiny? Wizards are extremely annoying, but did you know that they are actually females? All this time you were cussing at them, you didn’t know you were doing so to a woman!
4. VEX
Not all Vex are the same, and as we understand it they are a network of thoughts and are unified. However, one example in particular that disproves this is the Hezen Corrective. This is a Vex sub-type, and it is set apart from other Vex by their behaviors.
5. OPEN DOORS WITH YOUR GHOST
You probably know that you can open doors with your ghost, but did you know that there are some doors where you can only open them up that way? You may find some amazing things behind these doors, but don’t count on it too often.
6. AXION SEEKERS
Normally, the Warlock Axion Bolt Grenade will explode and seek its targets. However, were you aware that if you sit down in time you can make a fool out of it? It will literally be clueless on where you are, and will just continuously circle you. Of course, it will hit you eventually.
7. WATCH YOUR SHIP BE STORED
If you want to watch your ship be stored after you land on the tower, then you need to be fast. All you have to do is quickly run to the Hangar Bay and wait for a few seconds. If you do this fast enough, then you will actually see your ship being stored!
8. FALLEN SOULS
There is no doubt that you have seen this one happen countless times, but I wonder if you actually knew what was happening? If you land a precision kill on a Fallen, you will see white mist explode from their body. However, did you know that the white mist is supposed to symbolize their soul escaping?
9. COURT OF CHAMPIONS
If you have no idea where I am getting at with this one, then don’t worry because I am here to clarify. While you’re checking out your ship, go to the entrance of the tower. You will walk past a Greek script on the ground, and chances are you didn’t know it was there. The script says Atrium Propugnatorum, and it roughly translates to “court of champions”.
10. RESPECT FOR DARK SOULS
Bungie made no bones about the fact that Destiny was inspired by Dark Souls. However, did you know that they actually pay tribute to them in Destiny? They do this with several in-game items and one, in particular, is the Ghost Angel Cloak.
