Microsoft knew as soon as they created Bing, they would need to give people a reason to switch to it. It is safe to call Google the most popular search engine in the world, so Bing needed to add something.

Microsoft decided to implement Bing Rewards into the search engine. For those of you who don’t know, when you use the search engine you will receive reward points. These points can then be used for a large variety of benefits. However, the people in India were not able to partake in this. That is until Microsoft announced that they can also sign up for the reward program. This means, for the sake of Google, that Bing is winning over the people of India.

MICROSOFT ANNOUNCES INDIA BING REWARDS PROGRAM

Even though this new rewards program in India isn’t as functional as it is in other regions, it’s better than nothing. As of right now, the only rewards come from Freecharge, which is a service that assists people in paying for things like mobile bills and gas. Hopefully, as time goes on Microsoft will improve this for the people over there. For the time being, though, this is still more than what Google is offering them.

GOOGLE IS AVAILABLE IN INDIA

It should be noted that Google is available in India, and they do have a history with them. A couple of years ago, they actually let the civilians over there use their Hangouts app to make free international voice calls. This was a great thing that the company decided to do, but it is clear that Microsoft topped them with the announcement of the Bing reward program. I can’t speak for the individuals of India when it comes to their opinions about the two search engines, but I am sure that they fully appreciate the ability to use the rewards program from Bing.
