Destiny Updates: 5 Base Weapon Changes You Need to Know About Clapway

April 12 is a day that all Destiny fans can’t wait for. The reason for this is because Bungie, the developer behind the game, is set to release a number of updates to the game. Well, the official development team of Destiny, on the official Bungie website, went through some of the biggest changes with the base weapons in the game.

DESTINY UPDATES: AUTO RIFLES

With this blockbuster April update, there are going to be a few changes with auto rifles. Mainly, the team is trying to make low rate-of-fire, RoF, auto rifles better to use while making high rate-of-fire auto rifles less powerful. The low RoF auto rifles will be increasing 2.3 percent in base damage while the high RoF auto rifles will decrease 2.5 percent in base damage.

DESTINY UPDATES: PULSE RIFLES

The development team is treating the update with pulse rifles much like the auto rifles update. However, the low RoF pulse rifles will be getting an even higher increase than the auto rifles are with a 3 percent base damage increase.

DESTINY UPDATES: HAND CANNONS

The biggest problem with hand cannons, as the development team points out, is the lack of ammo. So, just as you guessed, this is exactly what is being improved with this April 12th update. Although they didn’t reveal the exact number, it was stated that all hand cannons will receive an increase in ammo inventory.

DESTINY UPDATES: FUSION RIFLES

Fusion rifles are getting a few technical improvements. Overall, the development team points out that they are going to be more stable across the board. Also, it was mentioned that the issue of fusion rifle scopes having an unintended increased zoom will be fixed.

DESTINY UPDATES: SNIPER RIFLES

Without a doubt, sniper rifles are receiving the most updates out of the base weapons. This update will add 2 frames of zoom time to them, reduce the Snapshot perk to 20%, increase the base zoom distance for low-range snipers, and much more. April 12 sure can’t come soon enough!
