Just how well do you know that Samsung device in your pocket? At first glance, it may just look like your top-of-the-line, sexy, smartphone, but it’s actually shrouded in mystery. The two faced Galaxy S7 has several hidden features that can make your life easier. Here are five of them.
1. REARRANGE SHORTCUTS ON GALAXY S7
Everyone loves a good shortcut, but one pet peeve about the Samsung Galaxy S7 is that they aren’t customizable. Not so fast, one can easily rearrange the shortcuts with a simple trick. Just swipe down from the top of the phone twice (that’s one more than once) to access a settings pane. This panel has far more shortcuts and by tapping the edit button, one can rearrange them to their liking.
2. SAMSUNG POWER SAVING MODE
This is no secret. Samsung clearly has a standard power saving mode on the Galaxy S7. While that is true, did you know about the ultra power saving mode? Well, it’s there and it cuts all non-essential functions and helps the device last for hours on a charge of just a few percent.
3. SCREEN RECORDING
Hopefully, you know how to take a screenshot by now, but wouldn’t it be cool to do the same thing but with video recording? It’s possible on the Samsung Galaxy S7. Just go to Setting>Advanced>Games>Game Tools and enable the feature. From there, just tap the floating button once and you can record a video of whatever is on your screen.
4. NOTIFICATION TIPS
Sometimes our perfect memories have a momentary lapse. Thanks to the wonders of technology, we can receive reminders from our apps. Not all apps are capable of it, so on your Samsung Galaxy S7, go to Settings>Accessibility>Notifications reminder and then set an interval so your phone can remind you of any unread notifications.
5. OPERATE WITH ONE HAND
For whatever reason you may be using your device with one hand (don’t judge), there’s a secret feature that will help you. By going to Settings>Advanced Features, one can enable the one-handed operation setting. Once it’s enabled, triple tapping on the home button will shrink the whole screen and place in the bottom right or the left corner of the display. This will create a comfortable way to use the device with one hand while freeing up the other to do anything it wants. Yes, anything.
