Gmail to destroy Yahoo; Google Fans Are Happy Clapway

Google launches updates for Gmail Inbox, adding three new features to the Google Gmail next generation client for mobile and web. The new features are almost equal in user potential. But the most compelling of the features is the new inbox capabilities. Allowing users to track and organize events and the emails you send about those events. The new Google features may strike a deathblow to Yahoo. Yahoo continues to struggle, and Yahoo users are continually finding the platform unreliable.

Google Gmail Event Organization Feature

Now Gmail will be able to analyze your back and forth email chatter and organize your events accordingly. The new feature teams up with Calendar invites, tracking the events you are emailing about, similar to the technology on Inbox’s trip bundles. Using vacation bundles that are developed through travel bookings into a single user-friendly bundle.

Other Gmail Update Features Worth a Look

Inbox will bundle all your low priority emails, similar to the promotions tab. Promotions and Newsletters will all be placed in one easy to delete bundle, making spamming and marketing emails unseen if you choose. However, you will be able to identify which newsletters you want to receive in your inbox. Another new Google Gmail feature is the ability to share links with greater ease. The new feature will allow you to save links and share them if needed. This will also be available to users on mobile devices as well. Users can access the built-in sharing dialog for OS to share and save important links. This coincides with the new Chrome extension that allows users to save and share links from anywhere on the web via desktop.

Is Yahoo on the Way Out?

Yahoo is slowly bleeding to death as Google Gmail continues to make updates and changes appealing to more and more users. On April 9, Yahoo went dark for Yahoo Mail users in the U.S. and Europe. The company has also began closing down many of its operations do to a decline in revenue. There have been reports that they may also be selling bits and pieces to the highest bidder. The Yahoo Mail outage in early April may have implications on the company’s ability to sell for a decent price. What would a world without Yahoo look like?
