Do the two even have anything in common? According to one man, the popular porn site might be worth checking out. Here are a few things to know about it.
1. PORNHUB IS NOT JUST FOR PORN
According to online entertainer Flo Reyon, the YouTube community just doesn’t cut it for him anymore. As a result, he is looking for other methods to share his unique brand of art. His latest video shows him exploring the dark realm of Pornhub to see if he can get that wholesome community value that he so desires. The porn site isn’t known for that per say, but perhaps he’ll find his happy place there.
2. YOUTUBE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THE WHALES
As seen in the aforementioned video, Pornhub isn’t just about providing adult entertainment. Apparently it has a vibrant community of whale savers as well. You heard right, the porn site launched a save-the-whales campaign back in February. The company promised to donate one cent for every 2,000 video views. Thanks to the fapping of millions, a whale’s life may have been saved. YouTube can’t say that.
3. THE PORN INDUSTRY LOVES PRINCE
YouTube may have a wealth of music videos and live concerts, but you know what it doesn’t have? Prince. The recently deceased artist was infamous for his crackdown on his music being shared for free. Usually, any Prince video that made it online was taken down immediately. However, PornHub has embraced the singer. The adult website changed it’s logo to honor Prince. Seeing as he touched the lives (and more) of so many, it only made sense.
4. AMERICA LOVES FOOD MORE THAN THE INTERNET
America loves it’s internet porn and entertainment, but if there’s anything that can get in the way of that, it’s food. According to PornHub statistics, Thanksgiving sees a 29% drop in porn viewing across the country. Apparently, the massive amount of mashed potatoes, slimy turkey, and canned cranberry sauce don’t make for sexy inspiration.
5. NEW TECHNOLOGY EXCITES IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
The popular adult entertainment site loves new technology more than YouTube. Research shows that after the release date of every iPad, porn viewing spikes up 9%. This is likely due to new iPad owners christening their tablet with the first of many porn sessions. Wash your hands next time you use one.
