Government Goes Against Pornhub, YouPorn; YouTube is Quiet Clapway

Will Porn ever become an acceptable part of society? The age-old debate about the porn is usually met with some sort of religious, legal, or government stink eye. Last April, Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed legislation against pornography. The state government legislation was endorsed by Utah Senator Todd Weiler. Utah has been always considered a pretty conservative state. But that may be the reason porn is such an issue. Are the citizens of Utah locking themselves behind doors to watch porn? It could be in lieu of acting out their sexual desires in real life. Utah is not alone in the fight against porn. Government parties and other governments all together have proposed a fight against pornography. How will this affect Pornhub and YouPorn? Will YouTube weigh in?

Utah Government Anti-Porn Battle

Can Utah rid their state of the devil and all its slutty temptations? Their government sure will try. The Utah legislation declared porn as a public health crisis, an epidemic. Pornhub and YouPorn must be pretty popular in Utah. Senator Weiler noted that porn is a gateway, and increases child sexual abuse, child pornography, sex trafficking, and prostitution. The legislation has also outlined porn’s addictive nature and equates it to the state’s growing number of sex crimes. The language used against porn by Utah government officials has an undertone of religion. Could separation of church and state be in jeopardy?

YouTube Remains Mute

It is generally accepted that online porn platforms like Pornhub and YouPorn are advocates of the estimated $97 billion global industry. In the U.S., the porn industry is estimated to be worth roughly $12 billion. Pornhub and YouPorn are porn sites, offering anything one would want when rubbing out a virtual one. YouTube on the other hand is watched by kids, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. It has a wealth of funny, informative, and odd videos. All posted by YouTube subscribers. However, YouTube also has a bit of porn. But YouTube must continue its oblivious appearance. In order to stay an inviting and neutral online platform for all.

The World vs. Pornhub and YouPorn

The battle against porn is not only fought in Utah. Porn has, or is, being persecuted around the world. Iceland has proposed a countrywide ban on porn. And the U.K. has put porn filters into place. There is even a Reddit abstinence movement called “No Fapping,.” They offer a virtually warm porn free safe zone. Will watching porn on Pornhub, YouPorn, and YouTube turn you into a porn addict? Will watching a few pornos make you a sexual deviant, involved in child pornography and sexual violent crimes? Probably not. Porn may simply give people a healthy outlet to release a little tension. And the rise in AI porn may bring a new element to the camera. Do you think porn is addictive and evil?
