ELUSIVE MARS ATMOSPHERE TAKES FORM

Atomic atoms were found in the Martian mesosphere which are the upper layers of the planet’s atmosphere. This region used to be shrouded in mystery, but now, researchers are beginning to determine atmospheric erosion and how other gases escape Mars. Fortunately, they have SOFIA in which to do so because atomic air makes Chernobyl sound like paradise.

In the past, detecting atomic oxygen was hard because, well it’s atomic. Besides that, researchers have a difficult time trying to measure wavelengths in the atmosphere accurately. The last attempt to do so was 40 years ago. Now, we have technology to help us out. The SOFIA jet was able to fly between 37,000 feet to 45,000 feet above the moisture in Earth’s atmosphere that blocks infrared wavelength detection. This helped SOFIA observe far off infrared waves. The German Aerospace Center also had a hand in this discovered. They used SOFIA to distinguish between oxygen from Earth’s atmosphere to that of Mars. The end result, as we know now, is a Martian Chernobyl.

MARTIANS WOULD LOVE CHERNOBYL RADIOACTIVE MILK

Since it seems that the beings on Mars don’t mind a little atomic air, perhaps they would enjoy some of Chernobyl’s finest export. Radioactive milk was found near Chernobyl the other day right around the 30th anniversary of the world’s worst nuclear accident. That didn’t stop some farmers in the area from continuing their work, which is why the area has become the leading retailer in radioactive cheese and milk around Russia. Thankfully, locals say they are not afraid of radiation. Sounds like the Russian space program may have just found their first Mars volunteers. Maybe communism might actually work in space.
