The newest Apple smartphone still as the same, expired slippery design of the others. To many people, this isn’t a major issue but for the die-hards out there, it’s a big deal. Instead of simply switching to an Android or something else, this guy decided to go DIY with the whole thing.

This guy knows it though and he didn’t hesitate to open it up, strip it out and drill it down. That’s right, he used an actual drill on a brand new device. To many, that’s an insane waste of $1000. But to him, the physical defect got in the way of his happiness. By the end of the video, he has the edges just like he always wanted and it’s a beautiful moment of DIY innovation.
