Apple Updates its Update Problem

Finally, after years of customer complaints, Apple is now in the works of solving one of its biggest problems for users: updates.

THE WOES OF NEW UPDATES

Updates have always been a problem associated with Apple. When it’s time to update your iPhone, for example, the storage is almost always completely full, or too full for you to update it. This is most common if you have the 16 GB model. When this happens, you have to delete apps, pictures, and/or music files that are taking up space.
The folks at Apple have heard the cries of many, and addressed their concerns in the new iOS 9. The new system will allow you to temporarily delete and then reinstall apps when you are updating your phone.

UPDATES NEED SPACE

Just in case you have never run into this problem, updates require a certain amount of space on your device when you download and install them. Sometimes, the amount of space can be quite large, especially to people with the lower-memory, 16-gigabyte iPhones. Usually once the update is complete, then, some of that space is freed up again. It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not temporarily deleting your apps will make you lose whatever data is within those apps, but if the opposite case is true, the update problem is solved for all. Previous attempts to address the issue have mainly consisted of making the update files smaller, though this was only a partly successful measure.

WHY EVEN UPDATE?

One thing that is very clear is that updates are key to the success of Apple’s business. This is often times the reason that people purchase new products- to make sure they can receive all of the updates that are offered. The ability to have as many users as possible on the latest version of iOS is very important to Apple as a company.
The update process is a part of the advantage that Apple has. It not only has absolute control over the software, but it pushes updates directly to iPhones. Meanwhile, Android device makers typically have to work through network providers, which delays the process.
