Gran Turismo: Sung Kang’s ‘Fugu Z’ Takes Awards at the SEMA Show and Gets Added to the Gran Turismo Game Series

The 1973 Datsun ‘Fugu Z’ is owned by Sung Kang, of the Fast and Furious film franchise, and it was built in collaboration with Greddy Racing and other partners. The car was transplanted with a NA RB26DE and a Pademo kit by TRA Kyoto, and what started as a hobby to kill time ended up being a great SEMA build.

Gran Turismo: Sung Kang’s ‘Fugu Z’ Could Boost Game Sales

Thanks to this announcement and Greddy’s track record at the SEMA Show, the Gran Turismo game franchise has decided to include Kang’s Fugu Z as a playable vehicle on the PS4 game once it’s released. Though reception has been mixed for the game so far, this is sure to make for a positive addition that will hype fans up considerably for the release of the game. Gran Turismo creator and series producer Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed the addition, adding that it was only fitting that the winner of Best in Show for the Gran Turismo Awards be a part of the car roster for the new installment of the game.
