Robinson: the Journey, is the latest game on the roster for PlayStation VR, and it looks like a mix between Duke Nukem and Jurassic Park. The story revolves around a young boy that crash-lands on a mysterious planet and becomes an explorer and interacts with the new world that surrounds him.
Robinson is Coming for PlayStation VR
According to the team of producers and developers, Robinson is the perfect fit for PlayStation VR. It started with a few VR demos of Back To Dinosaur Island 1 and 2, where players interacted with a gigantic dinosaur. This inspired the concept of Robinson, and the positive reception that both VR demos received fueled the studio’s desires to bring Robinson to fruition.
Crytek Acts as Developer and Game Engine and Playstation VR as A Platform
This game will be the first to feature CRYENGINE technology and Crytek as developer and game engine. The company is looking to make the game authentic, a step closer to reality than any other VR game can bring, and it felt right to act as both game engine and developer and to join hands with PlayStation VR to achieve this.
According to the producers, PlayStation VR brings players a new level of intimacy, and its scope allows the team to be ambitious.
Robinson: A Journey Has No Set Release Date
First announced during 2015’s E3 conference, the game has no definitive release date yet, but information is slowly making its way to the mainstream as time goes along. It will surely make its mark as a PlayStation VR game.
