The Final Fantasy Dissidia Franchise is getting a reboot courtesy of Square Enix, as part of their 20th Anniversary. The game will include 22 characters from the original Final Fantasy saga.
New Dissidia Final Fantasy Brings the Ultimate RPG
The new game is set to be released November 26, 2015. Being an arcade game, it’ll focus on interplay mechanics and combat, structured in 3 vs 3 battles while players are one character and AIs play the other two. Playstation announced that an installment of the game will soon be released for the PS4, giving a tentative date of 2016.
Dissidia Final Fantasy Will Give Gravity Rush a Run for Its Money
With the recent announcement that Gravity Rush is also getting a reboot, it looks like Sony is taking a page out of Nintendo’s books and is revamping their older series. These two games are sure to bring back memories for seasoned gamers and possibly bring in new ones.
Both trailers show gorgeous visuals and classically fun gameplay. If Dissidia Final Fantasy gets released for consoles, it’ll be interesting to see how these two games go against one another. Gravity Rush was given a tentative release date of February 2nd, 2016 for the Playstation Vita and PS4.
