A very serious and deadly shooting has recently occurred in the now scarred town of San Bernardino. Some law enforcement officials in California commented that there are two prime suspects that were shot and killed during the altercation. Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were the two suspects that were killed by the police during a shootout. They were only 28 and 27 years of age respectively.
WHAT HAPPENED AT SAN BERNARDINO?
December 2nd, 2015: this is the date that all citizens of San Bernardino will remember with sorrow and disdain. On that fatal day, men with black ski masks entered a building for the disabled and opened up gun fire. The law enforcement officials reported 14 people were killed in this awful travesty. As of right now, there are no details on any motives behind this manslaughter. The police did comment and say that they are at ease with the fact that the two main shooters of this incident are deceased.
WAS THIS A TERRORIST ATTACK IN SAN BERNARDINO?
It sounds like the government officials are not ruling out that this was a terrorist attack. The assistant director of FBI’s Los Angeles office brought up the fact that many people will ask if this was an act of terrorism. He commented on the fact and said that it was a possibility. However, he did say that they are not willing to have that be a factor yet. It sounds like linking this to terrorism would be the last case scenario.
CITIZENS OF SAN BERNARDINO NOW OFFICIALLY SCARRED
There is no doubt that this is an awful event that took place for any citizens in the area. It is sad to know that some people resort to opening fire on innocent civilians. Those 14 people did not deserve to die, and they were most likely enjoying a normal day of their lives. Then, next thing you know, their families have to make funeral reservations. Death is never the right answer, and this just shows that some people in this world are not right in the head. A truly sad day for everyone.
