Huawei’s smart watches are arguably the most elegant looking wearables to date, alongside the TAG Heuer Connected and the Apple Watch. The company has just released two models for women: the Huawei Watch Elegant ($499) and the Huawei Watch Jewel ($599). These are slimmer and smaller than Huawei’s other smart watches.
Huawei Introduces A More Elegant Way of Being Smart
These aren’t the first smart watches to be designed for women with a flair for elegance and luxury. Both watches are available in basic design and with Swarovski crystals embedded onto the display. These watches even feature a speaker for voice calling. The rest of the features are in the rest of Huawei’s smart watches.
Is the Androgyny in the Apple Watch a Selling Point?
The Apple Watch features an androgynous design. This is probably why it’s so popular across all genders since it allows for customization post-purchase. These Huawei watches were designed specifically with femininity and elegance in mind. This doesn’t mean that it will sell as well as the Apple Watch.
Huawei Will Likely Sell Well in China
Apple’s newest wearable is dominating the market in a big way, and it is showing no signs of stopping. There could be an opportunity for Huawei in China, with the market being so big and Huawei being so popular. However, there aren’t high changes that this smart watch will outsell the Apple Watch.
Huawei has been dominating the smartphone industry in China, outselling both Samsung and Apple. They have a knack for making efficient and worthwhile devices. These watches are probably no different, but the Western market isn’t ready for it yet. Not to mention the fact that Huawei is selling their new wearables for a higher price. Not many people are willing to pay more money for a watch that is less trendy.
Huawei Watches will Be Available Worldwide
The launch dates for these watches are different from region to region. The Huawei watches will be available as of March 2016 in the following countries: the US, the UK, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates.
