Prime Members Get One More Perk
Amazon Prime members already get access to Prime Video, Prime Music and free two-day shipping, and now they get 20% off games that usually cost $60. That’s a whole $12 off with free two-day shipping. The discount will be available only for physical copies and Collector’s Edition items, and the discount is available on pre-orders and up to two weeks after the title has been launched. The discount does not include console bundles.
Best Buy Has The Same Discount, But Not the Same Benefits
Best Buy offers a 20% discount on new releases, but it doesn’t have any of the other perks that Prime offers. Users might be more drawn to the Prime promotions because it can lure people in through video game promotions and the rest of the benefits. It may even land them with Prime membership. This will be especially beneficial for students, who get half off of Amazon Prime subscription.
Amazon is Your One-Stop Spot or Will Be Eventually
Currently, Prime membership only costs $99. With all of the free services that come with membership and this new one, Amazon may see a new flood of members, especially from gamers who own and game on consoles. The e-commerce giant is taking big and sure steps into becoming a part of daily life, and most of their services have become second nature to many people. The benefits of Prime Video and Prime Music go without saying. But other services like Amazon Handmade and Amazon Fresh are quickly making headlines and getting acclaim.

The company is even investigating the possibility of getting drones to deliver packages. This would mean that actual package delivery can take even 20 minutes.
