We are compelled to pit machines against humans. We measure our brain capabilities by throwing more and more experiments. But is it absolutely necessary?
Microsoft Fail
The latest Microsoft fail proves the opposite. The company had created a chat bot that was meant to imitate millennials (in a good way). It turned out that the bot quickly inherited the worst of the internet spirit. Not so keen, it started leaving traces of racism on Twitter.
Google Smart Reply
Google Smart Reply, designed to analyze contents for you, has not been practical yet. The developer urges that the machine is able to learn quickly and get smarter. Perhaps, it may get even smarter than humans some day… Will this technology have taken place in out swampy future, full of dilapidated minds and exploited expert systems? Devoid of living souls?
Curiosity makes us humans. We are creatures who never fully satisfied when we look up at the cerulean fall sky. It’s just our Nature. We enjoy throwing experiments and, at some point, take risks. Though we need so little to be fulfilled and happy.
