Center Parcs is looking to expand its current resort empire by building a new holiday resort in Longford, Ireland. The idea is to help provide visitors with great accommodations as well as boost the economy by providing the surrounding communities with jobs. Up to 500 jobs could be created if all goes as planned with the new resort’s construction.

Center Parcs is one of the most successful holiday resort businesses in the United Kingdom, with five holiday resorts that are village based and a successful revenue of over €400 million to date. There has been a lot of discussion as to what the project would cost, and the total so far is for a deal of more than €100 million. Center Parcs is currently in the process f gaining permission to continue with their planned proposal. They are doing this through their continuous discussions with the Longford County Council and its CEO Tim Caffrey.
