Apple Hires Real Life Heroes just like Starbucks, Google and Facebook Clapway

In a recent tale of tear-jerking charity, Apple has showed their employees go above and beyond the call of duty. Customer service should always put the customer first, but it’s stories like these that restore faith in humanity. In fact, it seems to be a growing trend for some of the world’s large companies. While this is just one isolated case for Apple, perhaps we will see them follow in the footsteps of Starbucks, Google, and Facebook. All of which have made charitable strides of their own.

LIKE APPLE, STARBUCKS HELPS PUT HEROES IN THE WORKFORCE

A partnership between Starbucks and the Nevada Department of Employment has made some interesting strides as of late. The two have partnered up to form the Starbucks Inclusion Academy. This on-the-job training program seeks to give those with disabilities real life work experience in distribution and manufacturing. An opportunity that until now was unheard of. Upon completion of the program, Starbucks aims to assist them with interviews and job placement.

GOOGLE TAKES CHARITY INTO THE FUTURE

Since the introduction of their crowdfunding site DonorsChoose.org, Google has gone on to fund close to 800 various projects. The program helps those that teach special needs receive appropriate funding. This allows educational possibilities that were never before possible. By having the money to purchase specialized equipment for the disabled, their disadvantageous in education become far less. Thus, the classroom can operate on a more balanced and inclusive level for all. A creative move by Google, and one that will surely inspire future companies.

FACEBOOK HAS THE ULTIMATE HERO EMPLOYEE

Perhaps following in the path of Bill Gates, Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg has decided to dedicate the majority of his wealth towards philanthropy. Maybe inspired by the birth of his child, Zuckerberg proposes to give away nearly 99% of his $45 billion fortunate to charity over the course of his lifetime. Zuckerberg still aims to retain the majority of his Facebook shares in order to hold voting power. That being said, this move by Facebook is seen as revolutionary and has been praised by the likes of Gates and yes, even Bono.
