Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be released during the latter part of 2016 and details of the phone are starting to leak out. Critics have responded with high praise for the device. Perhaps this might finally be the smartphone that ends the long reign of Apple’s iPhone.
SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 6 LOOKS TO DELIVER
According to various sources, Samsung is testing out a version of the Galaxy Note 6 that comes with some impressive features. Among the features will be a humongous 4,000mAh battery and 5.8-inch display with a 1,440x 2,560 pixel resolution. For storage, users can expect 6GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The battery will be a slight upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S7. Seeing as that battery is already outstanding, some estimate the 4,000mAh variety will allow for a two-day charge. That being said, it’s strange that Samsung is increasing the screen size without increasing the pixel density. This won’t really be an issue unless one uses the Note’s VR device.
WILL IPHONE FANS MAKE THE SWITCH?
It’s not easy trying to get Apple iPhone fanboys to ditch their beloved device. To be fair, they haven’t really had much reason too. The iPhone has always been praised for its sleek style and simplistic iOS. That being said, the iPhone 6 wasn’t exactly groundbreaking. This might just be the opportunity Samsung needs to get users to switch to their Galaxy. Apple has wisely noticed the threat which is why the iPhone 7 Plus looks to be a huge upgrade from the 6s. Fans of the phone will appreciate a bigger screen, dual-lens camera and rumors of a ceramic back. That being said, Apple will still be up against some massive competition.
AN UNLIKELY CANDIDATE
It’s looking like the Galaxy Note will be one of the hottest smartphones on the market, but an unlikely competitor lurks in the darkness. Microsoft’s soon to come to Surface Phone will apparently have a full desktop OS with Windows 10. How they were able to fit such a large operating system onto a handheld phone isn’t really known, but if they can do that, who knows what other surprises Microsoft may have in store.
