Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? The crew from YouTube channel GizmoSlip get a little creepy when the knives and pineapples come out. Their latest YouTube video puts the iPhone 6s back to the test with another 100-foot drop. This time, they see if a pineapple can protect the iPhone from otherwise certain tech death. GizmoSlip has traditionally tested the iPhone 6 in a variety of ways. Explosives, condoms, ice, a watermelon, and even a Chipotle burrito have been used as possible protective cases. The pineapple is a natural choice for many YouTube viewers and Apple addicts. The hard spiny shell gives it Sponge Bob powers that may be the deciding factor.

Sexy Pineapple Time-lapse and Wolf Shirt
This pineapple inspired smartphone case may not be on the Apple design board, but it is a big hit with YouTube fans. The video has attracted nearly a million views and counting. One great feature of the video may not be the pineapple iPhone drop itself, but the super cool wolf shirt worn by the GizmoSlip guy. Wolfpack power. The video also allows viewers a chance to see how to cut a pineapple properly. All shown during a sexy electronic themed time-lapse. The fruit is juicy.
They Use a Brand New iPhone 6s
Despite the above amazing and sexy aspects, they also use a brand new iPhone 6s. This seems like a bit of a waste, however, it really adds to the suspense that is built during the time-lapse. Why not use an old one instead? After this lone wolf slices and dices a perfect iPhone square, a new strategy is devised. The GizmoSlip crew isn’t a stranger to 100-foot iPhone drops. Instead of the half and half approach, they decide to cut a slit into another pineapple and insert it snuggly. This may prevent the phone from slipping out on impact.
YouTube Pineapple Salad
The drop went as expected for many viewers. From the 100-foot top view, all you see is pineapple salad with the sound of an iPhone scraping against concrete. The pineapple pretty much disintegrates upon impact. Surprisingly, the iPhone survives. It is bent beyond repair with plenty of spider web cracks on the screen, but continues to operate. What will this wolf shirt wearing YouTube guy come up with next? He may be running out of places to stick a smartphone, or is he? It is still a waste of a delicious pineapple and a perfectly good, brand new smartphone.
