A popular adult webcam site claims to be pioneers in using a new facial recognition technology that helps users find sexy doppelgangers of people they know. People can upload photos of anyone’s face. Be it a celebrity, random stranger or close friend, MegaCams.me uses their facial recognition tech to locate a similar looking adult performer. Hence, it actually feels like you’re having live sex with the person in your picture.
At the moment, MegaCams won’t release where this technology came from. However, rumors are pointing to Microsoft. Pornhub and YouJizz fans could care less, however. To them, this technology will revolutionize the porn industry forever. Here are five things to know about it.
1. PORNHUB AND YOUJIZZ FANS RACE TO PORN SITE
When the Belgium company, Megacams.me encouraged its member to upload pictures of someone they knew or idolized, Pornhub and Youjizz fans reacted in a huge way. Which is no surprise. Upon finding this perfect fantasy photo and submitting it to the porn site, you get a list of models in return that show a certain percentage of likeness. In this case, the higher the percentage the better. According to Megacams, the algorithms are constantly running in order to provide the best results.
As one can imagine, Pornhub and Youjizz fans jumped on this opportunity. The site is already reporting a large backlog of nearly 5,600 pictures. So who’s responsible for this revolution?
2. PORN SITE USING MICROSOFT TO ATTRACT PORNHUB AND YOUJIZZ FANS
As mentioned earlier, Megacams.me didn’t release where they got their technology from. That is understandable. Unless you’re Pornhub and Youjizz, other companies don’t associate with porn. The API detected anger, disgust, contempt, fear, sadness, happiness and even surprise.
Eventually, Microsoft updated their API so developers could use the tech with their own applications like spell checking, facial tracking, motion detection in videos, smile prediction and speech recognition. If this facial technology didn’t exist, they would simply scan through the internet until they found someone that matched their porn tastes. MegaCams just offers an easier way to do it.
MegaCams also said there are already porn communities on websites like Reddit dedicated to the purpose of finding look alike porn stars and webcam performers based on photographs. In terms of safety, MegaCams said to porn fans that their data is safe with them. Of all the image data being submitted to MegaCams, none of it will be stored. Once uploaded, they process it and then it’s deleted forever. Hence, you don’t have to worry about your cousin accidently becoming a Pornhub and Youjizz porn star. Unless they already are one.
However, despite what MegaCams says, others are not confident in their ability to prevent porn addicts from getting what they want.
