Volvo has just pleased all the animal activists in the world. The company is about to launch their new Volvo S90 and it will feature a tremendous animal detection system. They must love animals more than the BMW i8 loves drones! This is in reference to Rinspeed revealing that their new model with feature a drone.

DETAILS ON THE VOLVO S90
This new model from Volvo will focus on luxury and safety. The company actually mentions how consumers will not be able to recognize the way the car will ride and handle from its previous models. Tremendous control, comfort, and precision can be expected from the Volvo S90. Consumers will also be able to pick between a few engines. The company is offering D4 and D5 2-liter diesel engines as well as the T6 petrol. However, those are not the reasons that this model will thrill lovers of animals.
VOLVO S90 WILL DETECT ANIMALS
This is one of the main safety features that Volvo will have in their new model. Not only safety for people but safety for the animals. They have implemented new technology in their model entitled the animal detection system. This is going to do what you would think as it detects when there are animals on the road. This will be extremely helpful during times when drivers can’t see very much. For example, during a thunderstorm at night where visibility is low. This system will alert the driver even if they can not see the animals right away to do what they can to avoid them.
BMW I8 NEW MODEL
Another new model that is about to be debuted is the new BMW i8. The actual name of this model is Σtos. This is going to be a self-driving car from Rinspeed. This new model will have a retracting steering wheel. This will allow drivers more room to do whatever they please. Also, the model will have two curved 21.5-inch Ultra HD monitors. The new BMW i8 model will also have eight HD exterior cameras that will monitor the vehicle’s surroundings. This makes sure that the vehicle will not miss anything in its path.
BMW I8 LOVES DRONES
Perhaps the craziest feature in this new model is the fact that it has a DJI Inspire One drone built into the back of it. This drone can actually be deployed by the people in the car to live stream the ride. This can only be done under a certain speed, though. Another crazy feature is available with this drone and that is the drones landing pad. LED lights can be programmed as a visual dance floor or an electronic message board on the pad.
WHY IMPLEMENT THESE DRONES
To be honest, it must be wondered why Rinspeed decided to add this drone to their model. The only conclusion I can come up with is they love drones! However, it will be interesting to see how cops around the world react to drivers having this drone. This could end up being a safety hazard if drivers misuse it. Of course, Rinspeed did add the implementation of a retracting steering wheel so they are no strangers to adding unique aspects to vehicles.
WHEN TO EXPECT THE VOLVO S90 AND NEW BMW I8
Both of these models can be expected to launch very soon. The Volvo S90 is set to launch at next month’s Detroit show. As far as the new BMW i8 goes, it is set to debut in a few weeks at CES. Soon, people around the world will see just how crazy Rinspeed’s drone is and how well Volvo’s new animal detection technology works.
