Strange Lights Over Russia Spur Rumors

Strange Lights Over Russia

A mysterious incident involving strange lights and a bright, large blue flash lit up the Russian night sky on March 19, and some wonder if it could have been a UFO or a meteor falling from the sky. The event has sparked UFO rumors and raising lots of questions in the city of Stavropol, a town in the southern area of Russia.

The occurrence of the strange, flashing lights happened near the town of Stavropol, and according to witnesses, it looked like a soundless flash of strange blue and white lights that happened for a few moments and then disappeared. Ever since it happened in the skies over the town recently, the local people haven’t stopped discussing the situation and pondering what it could have been.

It was reported that the strange lights caused flickering and flashing and that it also caused problems with local street lights, thus frightening residents in the area. In addition, the occurrence has sprouted several types of conspiracy theories that are also concerning residents who are fearful of things like UFOs or other possible problems.

The incident was caught on a video from a car dash cam. After it was uploaded to the Internet, the video fast became viral, with thousands of people looking at the strange event and pondering if it was a UFO or a meteor, or perhaps another type event that could have been man made.

Experts looking into the strange event are still unsure as to what the light was, because there were no weather reports of any storms in the area. There also weren’t any reports of any sort of storm or other noises reported by the residents. The local experts are still in the process of studying the situation to come up with their own conclusions.

According to one of the Stavropol meteorologists, Natalya Klimenko, if it wasn’t a meteor, or a storm, then it likely was something that a human being somehow created, as if they were photographing the city or some other event.

Some people speculated that the strange flickering lights could somehow be related to the recent incidents of the Northern Lights, also called the Aurora borealis, which was happening over the Moscow skies during that same timeframe.

Other groups of people discussed whether or not the strange flashes of light seen that night might have been the result of a meteor crashing into the ground. However, one person didn’t go for that explanation either, as they said that they believed that a meteor strike would have caused windows to shatter or would have caused losses of power by affecting the local power grid.

The bottom line is that residents saw something in the southern Russian skies that night, but no one is certain as to what the strange, flickering lights in the sky were. The incident is still under investigation and a final report is pending.
