The anticipated launch of the Apple iPhone 7 has created rumors, doubts, and different feelings toward the next generation smartphone. Many loyalists are simply not seeing the features that most next generation iPhones boast. This may continue the sales woes for Apple after their 2016 first quarterly revenue decreased for the first time in 13 years. The iPhone market has also been in decline as of late. But don’t count the innovative tech company out just yet.
No More Apple Headphone Jack
The Apple iPhone 7 may not be equipped with the standard headphone jack. Instead, users will connect via the lightening port, or connect through Bluetooth. It has been rumored that an extra speaker will be placed where the old headphone jack port was.
Smart Connector Rumors a Bust
Some of the original rumors about the 7 and 7 Plus being equipped with a smart connector may be confirmed as false. The smart connector, like that found on the iPad Pro may not be found on this generation iPhone. Users may need to wait for the iPhone 8 in 2018, which will give them a feature to get excited about later.
Two Next Generation Versions
They will continue the tradition of releasing a second model, like the release of the 6, 6s, and Plus. This may allow users the choice of two different screen sizes, 4.7 and 5.5-inch screen sizes. The next generation Apple iPhone may also be slightly thinner.
Dual Lens Camera for iPhone 7 Plus
Apple is taking the next step in their camera technology, offering a dual lens camera this year. The dual lens camera system will take DSLR quality photos with better lighting adjustments and 2-3x optical zoom. This has been rumored to be available in a second version of the iPhone 7 Plus, one with a single camera, and the other with the dual lens camera.
Repositioned Antenna Bands
The next generation Apple may have repositioned antenna bands. The antenna bands will no longer be running down the back of the phone, but will be placed along the sides and top.
