If you missed your chance to shop on Cyber Monday, it’s not too late. Friendly Planet Travel, a nationwide tour and travel operator, is giving voyagers another opportunity to snag a discount on nearly 600 departures with their massive Second Chance Monday Sale.
According to Peggy Goldman, the President of Friendly Planet Travel, “International travel is the ultimate gift, one that creates lifelong memories and forever unites friends, families, and loved ones through a shared experience.”
For this reason, Friendly Planet wanted to give travelers a second chance to book an affordable “vacation just in time for the holiday season.” Since 1981, the company has focused on developing high-quality exotic travel tours to some of the most exciting destinations around the world – places like Peru, Cuba, Italy, Thailand, Turkey and Spain.
This year, the Second Chance Monday Sale will kick off on December 8th starting 12:00 a.m. ET, and ending at 11:50 p.m. ET. Thus, travel enthusiasts will have 24 hours to book a tour to more than 40 exotic countries, at discounts up to $300 per person. The event is online-only, and interested travelers can speak with the reservations team for assistance or to get personalized travel recommendations.
According to travel site, Kayak, the first week of December is generally the best time to book travel – especially if you’re looking to fly domestically. Following this first week, prices will continue to jump at alarming rates due to the influx of late-bookers making their way home for the holidays. Competition for cheap prices is always fierce during this time, and online shoppers in general are spending more – prompting some companies to stretch their deals to “Black November.”
So why not treat yourself to a spontaneous vacation while you can? As Goldman insists, “…give the greatest gift of all—the opportunity to see the world and expand horizons as only international travel can do?” Just make sure to factor in the intense competition, and winter weather delays when booking.
